I have been stuck with this issue for the past few days and have tried to implement all possible solutions mentioned by various stackoverflow threads. I keep getting the error “Failed to prepare device for development with Xcode…” after successfully building my app. I have XCode 13.2.1 and iPhone 11 with iOS 16.7. Unfortunately, I cannot upgrade my XCode version since I have a late 2013 Macbook Pro which does not allow installing Monterey MacOS without which I cannot upgrade my XCode.

I tried all the tricks in the book: downloaded 16.6/ device support folder from a github repo and moved it to the Xcode folder ‘iPhoneOS.platforms’ -> unpair device -> restart iPhone -> restart Mac -> Trust iPhone etc.

I still keep getting the error. I am faced with no choice but to buy a new Macbook pro. Is that really necessary? Please, any suggestions and tips would be greatly appreciated. Really running out of ideas (PS: I have tried all the solutions I could search on stackoverflow and also asked ChatGPT, but nothing has helped till now).
